It was a bloody Sunday this morning at St Philip's Catholic Parish, Amakwa , Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Council Area, when unidentified gunmen sporadically shot at the congregation, killing over ten worshippers, and maiming many others.
Sources told Anambra Broadcasting Service, that catholic faithful gathered for Six O'clock mass, and as it was going on, unknown gunmen besieged the church and opened fire on the congregants, leaving many in a pool of their own blood, as the floor of the church was literally flowing with blood of victims.
It was further gathered that bodies of those who died immediately were already deposited in nearby mortuaries, while the wounded have been taken to various hospitals.
